If your child is experiencing persistent emotional, behavioral, or social difficulties, therapy can be beneficial. Signs to look for include changes in behavior, difficulty coping with daily activities, and challenges in school or social settings.

The initial consultation typically involves meeting with you, the parent or caregiver, to gather background information and discuss your child's challenges and goals. This may be followed by sessions with your child to conduct a thorough assessment.
-

Yes, therapy is confidential. However, we encourage open communication between the therapist, child, and parents. The therapist will explain the limits of confidentiality, especially concerning safety concerns.

We provide psychological treatment under the Australian Government’s Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. If you are eligible for a Mental Health Care plan, available from your GP, you may be able to access a rebate (for a maximum of 10 sessions per calendar year). Please note, a gap fee will apply and will vary depending on your referral needs.
We also accept referrals from other funding bodies such as TAC, Workcover, NDIS, VOCAT, WRISC, and Open Arms. Similarly, a gap fee may apply. Please contact the clinic to discuss fees and any possible out of pocket costs.
You do not need to have a Mental Health Care Plan or other funding body to attend sessions, you may wish to pay privately, but it does assist in reducing costs for you.
